Data on the dissociation characteristics of a double-stranded nucleic acid molecule (DNA or a DNA/RNA hybrid) during heating. Nucleic acid melting curve: a melting curve of a double-stranded nucleic acid molecule (DNA or DNA/RNA). Shows the proportion of nucleic acid which are double-stranded versus temperature. A melting (stability) profile calculated the free energy required to unwind and separate the nucleic acid strands, plotted for sliding windows over a sequence.
